Welcome to MUKU! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (referred to as “you” or “User”) and MUKU, a company (referred to as “MUKU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the MUKU mobile application, website, , and any related platforms or services provided by us (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy (which incorporates our Cookie Policy). Please review it carefully to understand how we handle your information. By using the Service, you represent, warrant, and agree that you meet all of the following eligibility criteria:
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If your country requires a higher minimum age to use online services (for example, 14–16 in certain EU member states), you must meet that higher age requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
Legal Capacity: You are fully able and competent to enter into these Terms, and you have the legal right and authority to agree to and perform the obligations in this agreement.
Sanctions Compliance: You may not use the Service if you are subject to trade or economic sanctions, export control restrictions, or are otherwise designated on any restricted party list issued by applicable government authorities (including the United States, European Union, or United Nations). MUKU does not provide financial services or virtual currency features; this restriction is included to ensure compliance with global regulations.
No Prohibited Parties: You are not identified on any list of prohibited or restricted parties issued by the U.S. government or other applicable government (such as the U.S. Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list, or similar lists by the EU or UN). You will not use the Service for the benefit of any person or entity on such lists.
Entities: If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, organization, artist group, record label, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In that case, “you” will refer to both you as an individual and the entity you represent. If you do not meet all of these requirements, you must not access or use the Service. MUKU may refuse access to any user who does not comply with the above conditions or any other provision of these Terms.
MUKU is constantly evolving and improving the Service. As a result, we reserve the right to change or update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide you with reasonable notice by means appropriate under the circumstances – for example, by prominently posting a notice within the Service, by sending an email to the address associated with your account, or by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of these Terms. We may also require you to review and accept the updated Terms in order to continue using the Service.
Unless we state otherwise in our notice, changes to these Terms will become effective after we provide users with advance notice as required by applicable law. The length of the notice period may vary depending on your jurisdiction and on whether the changes are favorable or unfavorable to users. If you do not agree to any updated Terms, you should stop using the Service before the changes take effect and, if desired, delete your account. Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms become effective will constitute your acceptance of the changes. For this reason, we encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any updates.
For purposes of these Terms, the following capitalized terms have the meanings defined below. These definitions are provided to help clarify certain concepts as you read the Terms:
User: Any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service in any capacity. This includes all account holders and visitors, whether they are artists, record labels, fans, or others. Artist (or Creator): A User who creates, uploads, or otherwise provides Content to the Service. “Artist” includes composers, singers/vocalists, producers, and other music creators, as well as entities like record labels or their representatives that upload or manage Content on behalf of artists.
Composer: An Artist who creates musical works (such as instrumental tracks or beats) and may upload those works to the Service, often to collaborate with other Artists (e.g., through Challenges). Singer (or Vocalist): An Artist who provides vocal performances or recordings. Singers may upload vocal tracks or participate in Challenges by submitting vocal entries to complement a Composer’s track.
Fan: A User who primarily uses the Service to discover music and support Artists. Fans may engage by listening to music, voting in Challenges, using in-app MUKU points (“MUKU Beans” in the platform UI) to show support, posting comments or feedback, or participating in other interactive features for supporters.
